BMW 8 series fuel consumption

Of all BMW 8 series modifications produced from 1989 to 2022 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 16% higher compared to advertised consumption. Starting from 1990 BMW 8 series average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was significantly higher than average, at 1995 it was slightly above industry average, at 2018 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
